Product: Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog
Description: Made by Dairyland Distillers Co. in Pennsylvania, the eggnog is spiked with brandy, rum and whiskey. It’s contained in a 750 milliliter glass bottle and rings in at 14.75 percent alcohol.
Preparation summary: Shake well and serve.
High points: This is pure holiday nectar, a creamy and exquisite-tasting eggnog that delivers the booze in a fairly robust manner. Unless you’re a heavyweight when it comes to imbibing, a small glass or two is enough to loosen your limbs and break into song.
Low points: Stay away if you’re adverse to eggs, cream and alcohol. And if you drink too much of it with your drunk relatives who consume their spirits straight up, your stomach will become a battle zone in which there is no redemption.
Average retail price: $10.99
