High points: These are creamier and dreamier than Mrs. T’s original potato-cheddar pierogis. Miraculously, the Italian and Swiss cheeses in the filling don’t abolish the Polish soul in these darling dumplings. They actually enhance it.

Low points: Ignore the suggested featured recipe of Philly cheesesteak pierogis on the back of the box. You’ll be asking for trouble by the Polish community for Americanizing this sacred, traditional dish.

  1. “You’ll be asking for trouble by the Polish community ” I’ll say! Lol. Don’t do it. Potato cheddar was always a favorite of my Polish grandma’s, along with sauerkraut and onion.

  2. They freeze and travel well … I smuggled a few packs Into my checked luggage returning to Germany on my last trip!
