Product: Tillamook Mountain Huckleberry Ice Cream
Description: Premium vanilla ice cream with a swirl of huckleberry ice cream by Oregon-based Tillamook. The product is sold in 1.5-quart cartons.
Preparation summary: Ready to eat from the freezer.
High points: This famous cheese producer does a decent job at making ice cream, not to mention capturing enough huckleberries in their short, summer season to mass produce this sweet-tart enticement. The bright-tasting berries appear in a sorbet-like center swirl surrounded by ample vanilla ice cream that is elegant and creamy.
Low points: We vote for Tillamook to widen the swirl. The ratio of huckleberry to vanilla left us wanting a little more flavor from the dark-purple fruit.
