Famous for its unexpected line of products for more than 170 years, Hammacher Schlemmer has introduced one of the quirkiest waffle irons to ever hit America’s breakfast tables.
The company is calling it The Building Block Waffle Maker, which cranks out assorted sizes of interlocking Lego-like “bricks” that cook simultaneously.
The hope is that you can keep your appetite at bay for the time it takes to construct little houses, huts and cabins with your edible, architectural materials.
The device sells for $59.95. Orders are currently being accepted here, with Nov. 25 listed as the earliest shipping date. We’re told it should also be available by early December in the company’s landmark store at 147 E. 57th St. in Manhattan.
Well, the “Don’t play with your food” command is out the window with this one.
